Maybe it's a new strategy to help v13 tracks dominate other radio shows/1001tracklist

That deep schedule too. That could be one of the best deep months in a long time as well.

So, Way Out West album is out at the start of June, and there's an upcoming Moon Boots album on Deep. The first single from the album is the track coming out this month, I believe.

First time hearing that Tinlicker tune. Sounds a lot like Rufus. I really like it. Lush and groovy

But you threw 10's at Tesseract and 43 I have crazy high expectations after Destiny though tbh Well look at how big 43 has become. A&B playing the Sky Falls Down mashup with it, ilan playing it with or without the mashup at every gig he plays. I reckon it's taken over from Sinai as the ultimate ilan track, though Bigger Than Love rivals it, being his first vocal production. Tesseract came at a time when we was crying out for something different from ilan and he delivered with a great groove

Above & Beyond played Can't Sleep on Mercury at 150, does that make it a huge release too?
Nothing that has happened with the track will change the fact that it sounds like bees buzzing through a fart box. It's shameful just how bad that track sounds.

I still enjoy the song and put it on from time to time but to say it's a perfect song up there with the likes of Evermore, Nimbus, Home, etc. is just an alternative fact.

And I've never heard it out so I don't know if it ends up sounding like static when the volume is cranked up, so that could be part of it. Good use of alternative facts though

Good use of alternative facts though I've heard it sounds perfectly fine out live, like most broken tracks. I would love to hear this song live where I'm sure it can be fully appreciated, just not at home where it makes my headphones/speakers sound like they're breaking.

Huh, maybe I don't have very trained ears because I never noticed major problems. It's rather subtle if you don't know what to listen for. I think it's mostly noticeable in the end of the break, especially in the lead, and in the drop. There's lots of clipping and just generally wayyyyyy too loud. Listen carefully around the 3 minute mark on some headphones, or even a good pair of speakers. It's not as instantly noticeable as it is in Aurora's drop but surely still there. Shane could definitely give you a better description on what exactly is wrong.

Shane could definitely give you a better description on what exactly is wrong. it is about the lack of sonic dynamics and over compression. It's a much longer description than what I care to type here, but essentially each element in the mix of 43 is too loud or too compressed and therefore when you export the track out, each individual element is squished to fit and nothing is heard well. Tough to explain and even harder to pick out with your ears, but once you learn and have heard it once, you'll never be able to go back. 43 is great musically, bad technically.

I don't know what happened but after deep08, they started releasing some seriously groovy dance tunes. I thought my days of listening to deep were over, but it's been nothing but hits this year.

It's not quite nearly as bad as Elysian or Aurora Also the stereo field in 43 is too wide and has some phasing in it

I have the same complaint with Destiny. You can hear after the intro that there's a little of clipping / weird noises (after 4:15, when the bells come in). Endorphin is by far the worst offender though; when the big saws come on during the break, it sounds like a mess. I don't know what happened but after deep08, they started releasing some seriously groovy dance tunes. I thought my days of listening to deep were over, but it's been nothing but hits this year. Same, Luv Deluxe Remix and Soon You'll Be Gone are fantastic back-to-back releases. There are still many great tracks on Deep 08 that are waiting to be released.

Anjunas quality control seems to have gone downhill in the past few years. There's simply no excuse for stuff like this from a label as renowned as theirs.

There's simply no excuse for stuff like this from a label as renowned as theirs. It's actually quite funny Anjuna seems lately to have lower standards for mixing than other labels. Genix, Boom Jinx, Bluestone, and Jason Ross are getting away with sloppily mixed tracks every now and then. Only Bayer and Fatum are consistently good mixing-wise (mostly Fatum's work on other labels though). And while his tracks are mixed good, Arty bricks/smashes every track of his to absurd levels.

From quite a big time i know ilan is preparing an album. So it'll be an EP in between ? He's been teasing a lot on Facebook and Instagram recently, I 'assumed' that was for an EP. An ilan album would have a lot of hype, build up and require tactical marketing strategy
