Conspiracy theories have been running wild around the disappearance of Graeme Shepherd a.k.a. Grum’s second (or is that third) artist L.P. ‘Deep State’. Announced late in 2018, the album vanished. While he cannot confirm nor deny some of the more colourful conjecture around the album’s withdrawal, Grum and Anjunabeats are pleased to announce that ‘Deep State’ is back, rewired and reinvigorated for 2019 and beyond. Reflecting the unsettling times we live in, ‘Deep State’ has moments of light and dark. It’s a showcase of Grum’s ability to craft pitch-black progressive and immersive vocal pop. The 10-track album is a refined take on the current state of progressive trance. anjunabeats.lnk.to/GDSreNew album from Grum, more info soon... Very excited!

News on that soon, been another delay^
The cover reminds me of Xtravaganza covers, I think it's pretty cool. Very Grummy

Wonder why there are issues with albums/tracks being delayed so much sometimes, compared to someone like Yotto's being announced and all going to plan. Are the tracks being edited/amended so much after the artist sends in their final versions??

My jeesus, another album from one of my favorite artists? I'm so down. Ilan, Spencer Brown, now my boy Grum As long as I get just a few I really like out of this I'll be happy.

so, do we think this project is dead now due to the rights issues, or will it eventually see the light of day?

He could have meant more singles for the release...? Probably not though. I still haven't gotten a chance to listen to Deep State, Hyperfall, No Dancers, and In My Last Life.

Completely forgot this was coming out tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder Honestly, Grum's last two singles have been kinda weak for me. His WW07 stuff was MILES ahead of both Stay and Tomorrow. I'm hoping the rest of the album is more like he previous work. Also, I wanna thank Genix for saving Stay for me as his remix is a beast!

Really glad this is finally getting released - heard 'Tomorrow' for the first time this morning and I like it, will be a grower I think. Really hope this album lives up to the extra year of anticipation!

Neither Stay or Tomorrow have caught my attention as much as the 07 or (lost) tracks with Chris. Hopefully the rest of the album is better than the early singles.

About half way through right now and it's pretty good so far. Stay and Tomorrow work much better as album tracks than singles, in my opinion. Absolutely LOVE Home

Deep State was a great way to start the album off, providing a peak at a mix of the lighter and darker sounds the album had in store.
Lose Control is such a chunky groover, I really can't wait for the extended to come out. That intro hits hard.
Tomorrow has gotten better each time I listen since it was released as a single, and I think I appreciate it even more now seeing how it fits into the album.
Home was really cool till the drop, and then I'm admittedly disappointed he didn't care on those awesome synths into a bigger drop. I'm sure this will grow on me, as the drop isn't actually bad - just not what I expected.
Genesis and The Ascent are both some serious trancers and it's great to have them in HQ now. Genesis is especially awesome and one of my favorites from the album. Nails the classic vibe it was going for so well.
Running is the only tune I'm not totally feeling right now. Reminds me a lot of his pre Anjuna stuff which I never liked as much as his Anjuna stuff. Will have to give it some more time!
Now, Altered State and Afterglow was an explosive way to close off the album and both are some of my favorite things Grum has ever made. Altered State was a highlight from A&B's 350 set and it's even better in HQ. The lead vocal sample sends chills down my spine. I can't wait to hear this out live next month! And as for Afterglow, it really is the perfect replacement for Hiding Place and I love that we got another track with Natalie. The buildup in the middle of Afterglow makes that final drop so much more impactful
Overall, greatly enjoying the album after my first listen and well worth the wait. Grum seriously can do no wrong and this album is further proof of that, not to mention the production quality on this is ace. I really think Grum nailed the throwback vibes he was going for.
Though I do have to say, Never Have To Be Alone and Seventeen were some serious stunners and I’m sad they didn’t make the album

Interesting version to say the least. Original is definitely the favorite here, but this one is also nice
