Buy/Stream 'This Is Not Our Universe': Anjunabeats.lnk.to/TINOUYoSee Tinlicker on the Anjunabeats U.K. tour: anjunabeats.com/tourFollow Anjunabeats New Releases on Spotify: anjunabeats.ffm.to/newrelease... Release Date: 27th September 2019 Endorsed by heavyweights like Pete Tong, Above & Beyond, Deadmau5 and Armin van Buuren, Jordi van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer (a.k.a Utrecht-based duo Tinlicker) welcome us to their world with new LP, ‘This Is Not Our Universe’.
A melting pot of deep house, progressive and trance, ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ also boasts a lineup of eclectic vocalists.
The album includes an evergreen remix of alt-J’s hit ‘Breezeblocks’, recent single ‘Lost’ feat. Run Rivers, and slow-burning festival smash ‘Need You’ alongside regular collaborator Thomas Oliver. Echoes of Pryda and Timo Maas can be heard on instrumentals ‘The Walk’ and ’Neko’, while fans of the duo’s recent outings on Anjunabeats’ sister label Anjunadeep will enjoy ‘Vanishing’ (feat Run Rivers) and ‘Lullaby’ (feat Helsoot) .
“This is actually our first album together. Our characters are quite different. This album is the result of those two different characters and the tension that arises in the search for the balance between the two of us. It is, as it were, a collection of ingredients with which we show that we are happy withthe differences between them. The album also represents diversity. Many tracks on the album have the same character but are still different from each other. A nice reflection of how we are as people.” Taking in 19 cities, Tinlicker’s ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ world tour has already sold out shows in London and Sydney. Full dates can be found at anjunabeats.com/tinlicker with more to be announced soon.

Hype is rather minimal from the first two singles. Hoping the full album will change that...

Hype is rather minimal from the first two singles. Hoping the full album will change that... While I remember being rather impressed with Soon You'll Be Gone (one of the few tracks I enjoyed from Deep 08), I still mostly overlooked Tinlicker for the past 2 years. Going back to listen to their tracks during that time, I cannot understand how this happened. They're the exact type of sound that I love and it puzzles me why I'm just now jumping on them full time. I'm just glad I saw the light before the album release.

Anjuna is killing it with the albums in recent years. One more to look forward to, really excited about it. The 1st single was top-notch

Probably the most underwhelming album Beats has released in a while. Maybe I need some more time with it but I really don't think this is worth the hype. Need You aside, the vocal tracks don't really do it for me and none of the instrumentals blew me away. I did enjoy Bird Feeder, Fractal, Neko, and When The Lights Fade, though.

Pretty much agree with this. Nothing ground breaking and very 'Anjuna by numbers'. Also why is this on beats?

Personally I think it fits better on Beats

Finally got around to listening to this. The comments on here and reddit kinda caused me to doubt the quality. Sorry guys but I couldn't disagree more..
Honestly this is one of the first few albums that I mostly enjoyed on the first listen. Usually takes me a few tries to really get into. Only other exception is Illusion of Perfection....which is obviously perfection.
The order of the tracks is a little off and it does feel like a collection of singles rather than an actual album but I love their sound so much that I'm perfectly okay with that.
Top Tracks include The Walk, Birdfeeder, Lost, Breezeblocks Remix, and Need You.

It's really good. I've listened to the album twice, as I'm trying not to overplay it, but it's up there with Scars and Illusion of Perfection for me.

Hopefully those get some remixes as well, as otherwise I don't see a point in releasing more singles after having already released all the extended mixes.

I honestly didn't even realize they were on Beatport as extended mixes until yesterday...so I'm just going to wait until Wednesday. Don't think I'm going to wait for Neko though...as it's too damn good.

These extended mixes of The Walk & Bird Feeder are fucking awesome. The Walk is a 10 and Bird Feeder is a 9, easily.

The more I listen to this album the more I love it! Bird Feeder is an absolute banger, and so many other stand out tunes (Close Your Eyes is still my personal favourite).
Definitely goes into my top 5 Anjuna albums of all time (listed in no particular order):

After seeing so many people give high praise to this album, and some people saying it got better with further listens for them, I finally decided to dive back in to the album and I'm glad I did. The songs that had originally caught my attention grew a lot more on me, and the rest of them sounded a lot better this time around. Really glad to have this album on Anjuna

Not Dosem’s best effort, though I think he would’ve done better with a different song.

Yeah, a little underwhelmed by this. Was expecting more from Dosem.
