Hey all, Recently (these past few months) I've been getting into collecting some of the 12"s released over the years. It's a really fun and satisfying hobby. At this point in time I'm up to about 35 releases, with more in the mail. Being in Australia makes it far more expensive, sadly. Mainly because of shipping costs. Are there any other collectors here? What are your most prized vinyls?

Not quite, I would love to collect the vinyls (or any vinyls) but I started on cd's first so have tried really hard to stay away from vinyls, as beautiful as they are! Perhaps one day... I have 80+ Anjunabeats cd singles, + 20 or so Anjunadeep and then all of the main ANJCD's too, a nice little collection

Didn't think there was many of the catalog CD collectors out there. Personally, I only have one vinyl and it's Super8 - Alba / Dawn. I did have the WAWN 7" from the WAAWN boxset but I gifted that away to a close friend Otherwise I solely collect the ANJCD releases. Got a decent amount so far, and apparently a rare jewel case version of Volume 1!

Got a decent amount so far, and apparently a rare jewel case version of Volume 1! That's pretty cool. I don't know why I gravitated more towards the vinyls, but I'm committed to getting as many as I can. Does anyone know roughly how many CDs and 12"s were pressed per release? Some of them are really, really expensive though. I've got my eye on a copy of Elektra, and I really want Never Gone and some of the OceanLab singles (Breaking Ties, Miracle) but they're insanely expensive. My most prized ones thus far are probably Oceanic, Nimbus/Tomahawk, Air For Life and Madness, although I love all of them What was the 7" from WAAWN? Did it have one of the album singles on it? Where do you guys get your CDs from? I mainly scour Discogs and Amazon stores for releases, but there may be more places I haven't come across yet.

It had We're All We Need and Quieter Is Louder on B side. I get my CDs from Discogs mainly. Amazon is either sold out or too expensive for most Anjuna stuff.

I'm looking to add Tab - Verso/Radiate to my collection A.S.A.F.P ! I always thought this was just an averagely good song until it came up on Laser Kissed Trance today and I was like wow, Verso got that bassline!

For me, Anjuna HQ should be looking to reissue the entire back catalogue (of both Beats and Deep) on vinyl as collectables. It makes perfect commercial sense, give us obsessive collectors something more to collect!

I'm looking to add Tab - Verso/Radiate to my collection A.S.A.F.P ! I got my copy fairly cheap from HTFR - the only issue that I have with them is that sometimes they put stickers on the sleeves, which are difficult to get off without tearing it. I also wish they'd give specifics about the condition but that's only because my currency doesn't go as far towards these things. there's one to be had for 4 euros here

I agree, and I'd be willing to pay a premium to get new copies of some of their LPs - do you know much were they sold for originally from retailers? I guess if they did that, people couldn't sell vinyls like "A Sort of Homecoming" and "Larry Mountains 54" for upwards of 150 pounds each, unless someone was crazy about original presses.

I had a business meeting this morning, and for various reasons the topic went from quality / make of speakers - wireless sound configuration and ultimately who much vinyl is "making a comeback".
I'd be interested to know if it's a generational thing and whether it's the older crowd who still appreciate the warmth of vinyl or whether younger folks have the love also?

Younger folk also have the love. I'm not sure exactly why though.

I'm not sure why it's gained appeal in my generation (I'm 18) - I mean, the reason I've got a fascination with t is because I have always listened to records (my dad has a very large collection, it's how I discovered a lot of the music I like). It could be that people my age and slightly younger just want the feeling of physically owning the music instead of streaming it from a service. Speaking of - I have some new additions to my collection! Luminary - Amsterdam Oliver Smith - Nimbus/Tomahawk Electrobios & Interplay - With You I'll post pictures shortly

Over the last 12 months I've been busy trying to obtain some of my fave anjunabeats on vinyl.... mainly from the period between 2004 - 2010... and have done pretty well.... without spending silly money.... The most I've spent was £25 each for Super8 & Tab - Suru and Tranquillity Base - Oceanic..... which as far as I'm concerned were well worth the money as I've badly wanted them in my collection... The only track I badly badly want on vinyl that I'm having no luck with is Super8 & Tab - Black is the new Yellow (maybe someone can be my saviour).... I was pretty convinced it was never released on vinyl as it came about when the cdj was at its peak... so digital copies are very easy to obtain. I had a reply from Super8 and Tab today after I contacted them direct and they've said they're pretty sure there are a few on vinyl floating about somewhere.... I'm not sure it's what I wanted to hear as it means I have to keep up the search... A white label would do me

Don't see it as ever released on vinyl on Discogs. My guess is it was never actually released on vinyl.

My memory tells me it was released on vinyl, however, I could well have dreamed it...

In fairness it would fit perfectly on a 12 inch. Original on the A side The radio edit and this on the B (A neglected classic )

My memory tells me it was released on vinyl, however, I could well have dreamed it... I hope you didn't dream it.... but the fact there's no mention of a vinyl version on discogs makes me doubtful it exists on vinyl.... unless there are a dozen white labels out there like super8 and tab reckon . I like that version but my favourite is still the original.... it has absolutely everything..... I'd LOVE to be able to chuck it on the 1210

If anyone is interested, I will have the following 12" vinyl releases going on eBay this week:
Above and Beyond - Far From In Love Above and Beyond - No One On Earth Above and Beyond - World on Fire/For All I Care Above and Beyond - Tri-State/Stealing Time Andy Moor - Fake Awake Jaytech - Spacelift/Essence Maor Levi - Reflect/Illumina Mark Pledger and Super8 & Tab - Worldwide Nitrous Oxide - Amnesia Sunny Lax - Blue Bird
Happily, my homework is to double check that they all play as well as they look like they should. My eBay username is oldvinylandotherbits.
Prices TBC, will all be 'buy it now' listings with offers possible. Postage to UK & Europe available.
I figured this would be the best way to let people know about them, as I know the vinyl releases can be hard to find nowadays.

I still have like 10 vinyls in my cupboard at home from when they last gave them away...picked a load up for people and then no-one wanted to pay the delivery from memory, so I've still got them...will have to look when I get home, but I think I have Red Moon Slide in there which is up there in terms of my N20 songs...
